Sherman Elementary in Warwick to start school year online due to mold issue

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Students at Warren Sherman Elementary School in Warwick will not be returning to the classroom just yet.
The school posted on it’s Facebook page that the building has a mold problem and that students will be learning remotely to kick off the new school year.
Sherman has hired a mold remediation company to clean the school and to purify the air.
Parents are invited to a public forum on Wednesday at 6 p.m. to hear the school’s next steps towards opening.
