PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Snow and ice are creating difficult travel conditions in southern New England and 4 to 6 inches inches of snow are forecast in parts of the region after a couple of days of bitter cold in the Northeast.

Temperatures are expected to rise above freezing later in the day but then could drop below freezing again in the late afternoon.

Moderate snow was reported throughout the region on Saturday morning.

A tractor-trailer rolled over on Interstate 495 northbound Saturday morning in Southborough, Massachusetts. No one was seriously injured.

The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory until 1 p.m. for Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts and until 3 p.m. for western Massachusetts and much of Connecticut.
