Arrest made in shooting of juvenile in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – Pawtucket police made an arrest Thursday in the shooting of a juvenile female last week.

Police say a juvenile male was taken into custody and a firearm was seized.

Officers responded to North Bend St. on Friday and found a 14-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to the leg.

She was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The juvenile male will be held at the RI Training School for Youth and will be arraigned in Providence Family Court on Friday.
