Two adults, one juvenile arrested on drug and firearms charges

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – A juvenile and two adults were arrested by New Bedford police Friday on gun and drug charges.

Officers executed a search warrant at the Tallman Street home of a 17-year-old. During the search, officers found fentanyl, digital scales and packaging materials, along with two handguns which were stolen from New Hampshire. Officers also seized more than 233 rounds of ammunition.

Police say both pistols were loaded with high-capacity magazines.

Later on Friday, in a separate incident, officers executed another search at an apartment on Coggeshall Street, targeting Ernesto Montalvo, 38, and Craig Pickin, 57.

There, detectives seized a loaded 45 caliber handgun, about 30 grams of fentanyl, 1.2 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, digital scales, a ledger and 3,200 dollars.

Montalvo and Pickin were charged with trafficking fentanyl and other narcotics, and firearms charges.

The 17-year-old also faces charges and is on juvenile probation.
