Swansea to vote on moving offices to vacant mall

SWANSEA, Mass. (WLNE) – Some town offices in Swansea may soon be relocated, according to Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein.
The Town of Swansea will be holding a vote on Nov. 1 to decide whether to spend 5.1 million dollars on moving those offices to vacant space in the Swansea Mall.
Those offices are the ones in the Town Hall, the Town Hall Annex building, and the Council on Aging building.
“All of our buildings are in pretty bad shape,” Aronstein told ABC6. Aronstein said the current buildings are cramped and deteriorating, making them hard to work in.
Aronstein also said the move will come at no cost to taxpayers, as the town has free cash they would use to make the purchase.
