Rhode Islanders voting in two special elections Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Rhode Islanders are heading to the polls Tuesday for two special election primaries.
Five candidates are competing to fill the third district Senate seat.
The seat is left open by Gayle Goldin, who resigned to join the Biden administration as Senior Advisor in the U.S. Department of Labor Women’s Bureau.
In East Greenwich, two candidates are running for School Committee.
Polls are open until 8 p.m.
