Sister of Brian Laundrie speaks to protestors outside her home

NORTH PORT, Fla. (WLNE) – ABC6 News reporter Alexa Serowik is in Florida this week continuing coverage of the Brian Laundrie investigation.

Brian Laundrie’s sister, Cassie Laundrie has broken her silence. On Monday, protestors Andra Griffin and Jonathan Riches, who are both friends of the Petito family got Cassie to come out of her home after four days of protesting.

Griffin and Riches have been protesting outside of the Laundrie family home here for weeks, and this past weekend protested outside of Cassie’s home 40 miles away.

When Cassie came out of her home, they asked her directly, “Did Brian kill Gabby?” and “Were your parents involved?”

“I don’t know,” Cassie said.

What Cassie did confirm was that she did see Brian, and even visited the family on their camping trip in Fort De Soto Park, on September 6 for dinner and s’mores but left after a few hours. She has not spoken to her family since.

ABC6 will be in Florida the rest of this week following the investigation.
