Independent cold case team claims to have identified ‘Zodiac Killer’

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- An independent cold case team says that it has identified the Zodiac Killer.

A group called the Case Breakers, whose website says that it is comprised of retired law enforcement and military members, said that they have cracked the code in letters that the Zodiac Killer wrote.

The team identified the killer as Gary Fances Poste, who worked as a painter. Poste died in 2018.

The Zodiac is linked to at least five murders in Northern California during the late 1960’s
