WESTPORT, MASS. — The owners of the animals from the Westport farm, where animals were found living in squalid conditions, have until Saturday to reimburse the ASPCA for the costs to remove the animals.
The Herald News reported that if those bills are not paid, the ASPCA will maintain custody of the animals.
One owner has charges close to $48,000.
Nearly 1,400 animals were removed from the property on American Legion Highway back in August.
The town filed for an injunction against owner, Richard Medeiros, earlier this month.
