Providence police searching for suspect in robbery of mini-mart

PROVIDENCE, R.I. —Providence police are still searching for the suspect in the robbery of a Providence mini-mart.

A convenience store worker was injured Sunday when a man wearing a ski mask robbed the Atwells mini-mart.

The incident happened approximately after midnight Sunday.

According to the clerk, a heavy set suspect entered the store and grabbed a box of cash.

The store owner tells ABC6 News that the robber took off with approximately $40. 

No weapon was involved.
