Somerset Hit and Run Driver Wanted

SOMERSET, MASS. — A woman walking on Brayton Avenue in Somerset was seriously injured in a hit and run Sunday.

Police are looking for the driver of a red older model Ford or Mazda pick up truck.

Officials say the person behind the wheel hit the woman around 6:15 p.m. Sunday night near the Saint John of God Church.

The suspect then took off in the direction of Swansea never stopping or checking on the victim.

The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered serious injuries.
