Acushnet man pleads guilty to robbing disabled vet

BARNSTABLE, M.A. – A man arrested for robbing a disabled marine pleaded guilty in Barnstable District Court on Tuesday.
36-year-old Kevin Lima, of Acushnet, robbed Sgt. Robert Watson while he was vacationing with his family in Yarmouth this past June.
Lima stole Watson’s military ID, his social security cards, a specially made hearing aid, hundreds of dollars, and other personal items.
Authorities say Lima was sentenced to two years in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility with 48 days to serve.
Lima must also pay $830 in restitution to Watson, as well as $112 in restitution to the Yarmouth Police Department.
