Newport Half and Full Marathon Run in the Rain on Sunday

Nearly 3100 runners braved a constant rain to run the annual Newport Half Marathon and Marathon.  Danny Delaney from Newport won the men’s half marathon in a time of 1:12.13.  Veronica Jackson of New York won the women’s half in a time of 1:21.20.

Sean McNeil of Canton, MA won the men’s marathon in a time of 2:45.50.  Beth Dollas of Amesbury, MA won the women’s race in a time of 3:07.20.
