Patriots Place Jacoby Brissett on Injured Reserve after Thumb Surgery

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today that they have placed rookie QB Jacoby Brissett on the injured reserve list.

Brissett played in three games and started two, completing 34-of-55 passes for 400 yards.

He also had 16 rushing attempts for 83 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown run.

Brissett was drafted by New England in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft with the 91st selection overall out of North Carolina State.
