Fall River man dressed as clown, arrested after accused of carrying knife

What people in Fall River may have thought was another clown imposter sighting, took a scary turn when police discovered the man behind the mask was armed.

"It’s getting scarier and scarier it really is," says Vivivian Morrison, an employee at Delken Dry Cleaners.

It was a customer at Delken that saw the clowns driving around the parking lot and called police. Vivian Morrison was working at Delken while all of this was going on. She says police informed her of the sighting.

"It’s just so silly, why would they need to make more things for people to be afraid of, there are enough things to be scared of," adds Morrison.

Police traced the license plate number to an address of Erik Harrison. Harrison told the officers he and Ryun Coleman of Fall River were in the car together. He says Coleman bought the clown mask.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found more than just a clown mask discovering 5 assorted knives in the trunk, one was a cleaver. Colemen was placed under arrest, and arraigned Friday morning. The incident has left many on edge.

"I don’t understand what is going on. I mean, I like real people you know? I don’t like putting masks on. I think our lives are really about taking masks off, not putting them on," says one concerned Fall River resident.

"Don’t ever come up to me dressed in a clown suit. Because you don’t want to deal with me,"adds another.
