A fourth Cranston West student was arrested on firearm charges after police received new information Friday.

The 15-year-old is accused of bringing a gun to school Monday and keeping it in his locker.

This comes after three other students at the high school were arrested and charged with bringing a firearm onto school property.

According to police those male juveniles, ranging in age from 14 to 16, had a handgun and a stun gun on the grounds Monday during an after-school athletic event and even fired the gun multiple times in a wooded area near school grounds.

It is alleged that the fourth student stored a handgun in his school locker Monday. It is believed to be the same gun seized by officers on Tuesday afternoon.

The juvenile will be charged in family court with possession of a firearm on school grounds, possession of firearm by a minor, and not having a license to carry a pistol.
