Swansea, Mass. — A dog from Florida that went missing for 6 weeks was found in Swansea, more than 1,100 miles away from his home.

“Apollo,” a pyrenees mix, escaped from his Florida home on August 11th.

His owners were about to give up hope until an animal control officer called.

Animal control officials were able to track Apollo down threw his micro-chip.

“We scanned the chip within…15 the owner called us back,” said Lisa White; Swansea Animal Control.

East Coast Paws arranged for a relay of drivers to take Apollo home.

The obvious question that no one can answer is how did he get from Florida to Swansea?
