Suspect in Shelby NC police shooting waives extradition

The man accused of killing a police officer in North Carolina and then fleeing to Rhode Island will be sent home to face murder charges.
Authorities say 23-year-old Irving Fenner signed extradition waiver papers on Thursday.
He’s charged with first-degree murder in the killing of North Carolina Police Officer Tim Brackeen.
No word yet on when Fenner will be picked up by North Carolina Police.
