Mystic Aquarium releases 6 harbor seal pups

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. – Mystic Aquarium has released six seal pups in the waters off Charlestown.

The harbor seal pups were rescued by Mystic Aquarium back in April and May after workers believed they were abandoned shortly after birth.

Each pup was rescued at different times and from different locations along the coast of Maine.

They are each between four and five months old

Now healthy and prepared for life at sea, the pups, named: Jett, Amethyst, Quartz, Obsidian, Amber, and Sapphire have been released.
