PROVIDENCE, R.I – According to RI State Police, the 2nd in command officer, Lt. Col. Todd J. Catlow, will retire on September 16th, 2016.

He is a 24-year veteran of the force, joining the State Police after serving five years on the North Kingstown Police force.

“He is well respected, highly regarded, and will be missed,” said Colonel Steven O’Donnell, who announced his retirement on September 8th, 2016

Authorities say Catlow handed in his retirement papers one day after O’Donnell.

Gov. Gina Raimondo appointed Lt. Col. Kevin Barry to lead the State Police until a permanent replacement is hired for O’Donnell.
