WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- Hours after a Nor’easter made its way through The Ocean State, many Rhode Islanders like Jeffrey Joutras are still left in the dark.

“I’m sitting in the car to charge my phone, and laptop and for heat and everything else it’s rough,” Joutras said.

Jeff is one of many residents who have been without power since late Tuesday night.

“I’ve been gone for 15-16 hours and I still have no power.”

With temperatures dropping throughout the night, Joutras and others are considering a new place to stay.

“I thought about going to a Hotel tonight just because it’s cold and the whole situation, my girlfriend just came over as well. It’s dark we’ve got nothing, it’s cold so I’m looking at a hotel for now.”

According to National Grid, As of 7:00 Wednesday night Warwick had as many as 11,000 people without power.

The lights that were on, powered by generators.

Something John Brown and his son were trying to get started after Brown had significant damage in the front and back of his home.

“I had tree limbs in the yard and a canopy that blew in the woods. Now I don’t have any heat, it’s rough right now.”
