Patrick Welch Makes History by Winning His Third RI Junior Amateur Golf Title

Classical star Patrick Welch made his by beating Hendricken’s Joe Tucker to win the Rhode Island State Junior Amateur title.  The 4 and 2 victory gave Welch his third Junior Amateur title, making him just the fourth player in the 95-year history of the event to claim three titles.  He joins Brad Faxon, Brad Valois, and Tom Cunningham in the elite group.  The event was played at the Pawtucket Country Club.
