Teenage bicyclist struck by car in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I –A teenager riding their bike was hit by a car at the corner of Chalkstone Ave. and Canton St.

Authorities confirmed Thursday evening at approximately 8:30 p.m. an unidentified 16-year-old was struck, and subsequently transported to Hasbro Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.

It was reported that the driver did not see the bicyclist.

No other information has been released at this time.
