The Westerly woman convicted of hitting and killing a motorcycle rider in Charlestown has been ordered by a judge to enter a drug rehabilitation program after she violated her probation.

Laura Reale violated probation after failing a drug test and admitting to trying to purchase urine to avoid detection.

Back in 2010, Reale killed 27-year-old Colin Foote after she ran a red light in Charlestown and hit him while he was riding a motorcycle.

Reale was originally sentenced to 8 years in prison, but only served 5 years for the crime.

At the time, Reale had 19 driving violations on her record and had admitted she was high on drugs.

The judge ordered her to 90 days of rehab and to appear back in court on September 29.
