New Bedford man arrested for indecent assault

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) – New Bedford police arrested 20-year-old Devin Bryce Pacheco for assaulting a woman in Buttonwood Park Wednesday morning.

According to New Bedford police, at 9 a.m. Pacheco approached the woman, attempting to kiss her and physically grope her.

The woman was able to defend herself before calling the police.

While attempting to flee the scene, officers were able to apprehend Pacheco on Newton Street, where he was placed under arrest and charged with indecent assault and battery.

At a local supermarket several months ago, Pacheco was apprehended for a similar incident.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office requested Pacheco’s bail be revoked for the previous charge, and he is currently being held on $15k bail.
