Bail set for Pawtucket man charged for domestic shooting

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A judge set bail at $50,000 for a Pawtucket man after he was charged with shooting his son-in-law in the face Saturday morning.
59 year-old Joao Andrade faced a judge Monday after shooting his son-in-law in the face then taking refuge from police by barricading himself in the basement of a home on Fenner Street in Pawtucket.
Andrade is charged with assault, with intent to commit murder, firing in a compact area, failure to have a permit or license for a firearm and domestic disorderly conduct.
The incident happened Saturday, in broad daylight.
The victim is expected to be okay.
