4 dead, 20,000 more rescued in South Louisiana after severe flooding

The Associated Press is reporting that the federal government already has declared a major disaster in Louisiana, and forecasters expected more flooding across the southern part of the state today.
Continuous rains caused rivers and creeks to burst their banks and parking lots became pools over the weekend.
More than 20,000 people were rescued from their homes as of Sunday, and swollen rivers draining toward the Gulf of Mexico could create fresh flooding
Four people are dead in South Louisiana after widespread flooding ravaged the area.
Members of the National Guard are on their way to the area to aid in the rescue.
Four counties already declared in a state of emergency.
Floods submerged thousands of homes even shelters had to be evacuated due to flooding.
Over 200 roads were closed.
Most of the flooding occurred in areas near Baton Rouge.
