A participant in the Save-the-Bay swim was pulled out of the water, unresponsive, and later pronounced dead.

Jamestown police and fire responded to the area of Potter’s Cove, Saturday around 10 a.m. They were alerted about a swimmer in distress.

Police say the Save-the-Bay volunteers had removed 56-year-old Frank Wuest of Boston from the water after finding him unresponsive.
