Autocrat’s parent company may expand to Quonset

The company that owns Autocrat is proposing a new facility in Quonset.
In 2014, Finlays, which makes tea and coffee extracts, bought Autocrat, which is headquartered in Lincoln.
The first phase of Finlays’ new facility would be a 28,000-square-foot research and development center and plant.
Based on market demand, the next phase would be a 65,000-square-foot manufacturing facility.
As many as 73 new full-time employees could be hired by 2019.
The development will be discussed at the board of directors meeting this month.
