Jamestown Police are hosting a memorial service for one of their own who was killed in a car crash in May.
24-year-old Jamestown Police Officer Ryan Bourque was killed on May 23 while driving home from his shift, the same day as his one year anniversary with the department.
The police department is hosting a dedication ceremony and memorial in his honor on Monday, August 15, which would have been his 25th birthday.
A tree planted at the police station will be dedicated to Ryan during the ceremony.
Members of the community are invited to attend the ceremony along with Officer Bourque’s family. It begins at 6:00 p.m.
