The former boss of the Patriarca crime family, Frank "Cadillac" Salemme, was arrested in Connecticut Wednesday morning, charged with murdering witness Steven DiSarro back in 1993.

Prosecutors say Salemme then plotted with another mobster, Robert "Bobby" Deluca, to have his body buried behind an old mill on Branch Avenue in Providence.

DiSarro’s remains were dug up in March.

That mill belonged to William Ricci, who also has known mob ties.

DiSarro was a South Boston nightclub owner. He suddenly went missing shortly after Salemme and his son became involved with that club.

In court in Boston on Wednesday Salemme did not request bail or a probable cause hearing. He will most likely be held until he is federally indicted.
