A Cool Mother’s Day
There will be some opportunity to get another chance to view the northern lights again tonight, but there will be a lot of clouds coming in later this evening and it will cool off quite a bit overnight with lows dropping to the low 40s and in some of the coldest spots slipping into the upper 30s!
Clouds will prevail for Mother’s Day, but it does look like there should be a few peaks of sun late morning and midday. However, as a weak disturbance passes to the south of us on Sunday there is the potential for a widely-placed sprinkle or very light, brief shower popping up. Since it really looks to be a hit-or-miss thing, any outdoor activities should be just fine with highs reaching the upper 50s .
Monday looks to start a warming trend as highs climb back into the mid 60s with a good deal of sunshine. Tuesday gets even warmer still, near 70 although clouds will increase later in the day as another weak weather system comes at us with showers for Tuesday night and Wednesday. Things look to dry out for Thursday and Friday before the next threat of showers comes in on Saturday.
