A Fall River fire station will temporarily close Sunday for repairs. The Chief tells ABC6 News that the Globe fire station will be shut down for about one month.

Old floor boards in the building are structurally unsound and will have to be fixed. During that time firefighters will be moved to other parts of the city, but the South End will be without one of the engine trucks.

The temporary loss raises concerns about response time if there were a fire. The repairs have been in the works for about a month.
