Messy mix on the way for Wednesday night

A storm currently bringing heavy snow to the Mid-Atlantic will pass south of our area tonight, bringing a dusting for coastal communities. Block Island could wake up to around an inch of snow.

After a cloudy and quiet day Wednesday, another storm moves in tomorrow night. This will start as snow across the area but quickly turn over to sleet and then rain through the overnight.

Northern and western Providence country is under a *Winter Weather Advisory* as snow will have a better chance to stick, and there could even be some brief freezing rain early Thursday.

Watch for slippery roads through dawn Thursday morning. Any snow that falls likely all gets washed away.

Friday will be sunny, breezy and cold.  Another storm will move in over the weekend, following in the footsteps of tomorrow night’s event.

Snow will begin Saturday afternoon before changing over to rain Saturday Night. Damp and dreary conditions persist for Sunday.

The start of next week will be sunny but very cold!
