A gray Memorial Day with showers on the way

Sunday Night Forecast

Cloudy conditions will take over for tonight along with areas of fog developing that could become rather dense along the south coast and onto the Cape late tonight. Lows will slip back to around 60.  Your Memorial Day is looking to feature cloudy conditions all day. There may be a couple of sprinkles around in the morning, but other than that it should remain dry until we move through the afternoon hours. Showers will begin to develop throughout the mid-late afternoon hours and as we head into the evening some heavy downpours will begin to develop along with the likelihood of thunderstorms between 8-11 PM. Highs during the day tomorrow will be cooler, only in the mid and upper 60s as a result of southeasterly winds.

The showers and storms will depart in the predawn hours of Tuesday morning and Tuesday itself looks to be a nice warm and somewhat humid day with highs reach the low 80s away from the coast, but remain closer to 70 at the shore under a mix of sun and clouds. Wednesday is looking fairly decent as well with highs in the 70s.

Showers will develop for Thursday and we’ll start to cool back closer to normal temperatures. As we finish the week and head into the weekend I’m expecting a good deal of sunshine with highs in the low 70s.
