A seasonable July day

Heat advisory in effect for tomorrow and Friday

Good morning!

It’s another mild start this morning with lows in the 50s and 60s, and that will lead us into a very seasonable day Wednesday. We’ll have lots of sunshine with temperatures climbing into the low 80s for the interior and upper 70s along the South Coast and Islands.

Humidity begins to increase overnight tonight, and tomorrow is looking warmer and much more humid. For this reason, we have a heat advisory in effect for Thursday and Friday – excluding those at the coast. Inland, heat index values could reach into the 90s tomorrow and triple digits for the day on Friday. Although Thursday is dry, Friday brings a chance for showers/storms in the evening, some of which could be on the strong side as a cold front moves through.

The good news is, this front is trending a bit earlier than expected, which means that Saturday is now looking mostly dry for Southern New England with only the stray chance of an afternoon shower. Sunday looks a bit more unsettled with chances for showers/storms later in the day.

Have a great Wednesday!
