A Summer-like trend on the way

There’s finally a shift in the weather pattern! Starting today a warming trend will get under way as sunshine breaks through the clouds heading into the afternoon. Look for highs to reach near 70° away from the ocean’s influence, however closer to the coast highs will only be in the low 60s.  Clouds return overnight along with areas of fog as lows drop back to the low 50s.

Tomorrow will bring a mixture of sun and clouds along with rising dewpoints to the upper 50s. So, it won’t be turning terribly humid you will notice that summerlike change starting to happen with highs reaching well into the 70s with some spots to the N&W of the city touching 80! If you’re near the coast, it’ll be cooler in the 60s as a result of southerly winds.

Wednesday gets even warmer still as highs climb into the 80s away from the shore amid a good deal of sunshine. If you happen to be heading to the north or west you will likely encounter some 90° readings! It’ll remain warm Thursday, but a cold front will approach from the west for Thursday evening that will trigger some scattered showers or perhaps a thunderstorm or two. When that front clears it’ll cool back into the 70s as we head into the Memorial day weekend.
