AAA: Average gas price in Rhode Island, down 6 cents
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — AAA Northeast said that the average gas price in Rhode Island is down six cents from last week.
The average price as of Tuesday is $4.95 per gallon compared to $5.01 per gallon last week.
“Demand for gasoline has declined, perhaps in response to record-breaking high gas prices—and that has helped push down prices at the pump,” said Lloyd Albert, Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for AAA Northeast.
Tuesday’s price is still up 23 cents from last month, when gas was $4.72 per gallon.
