ABC6 Band of the Week: New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — ABC6 is excited to introduce the Band of the Week, the New Bedford High School Whaler Marching Band.

The band recently won the 2025 New England Scholastic Band Association’s Division 2 Championship with a platinum medal and a score of 95.7.

This award is the 14th NESBA championship in the whaler band’s history and their first since 2005.

ABC6 will be featuring high school bands throughout the fall.
