ABC6 Gubernatorial Debate To Be Aired on C-Span
(PROVIDENCE, R.I.) – WLNE/ABC6 will produce its last Vote 2010 broadcast debate with seven candidates for Rhode Island Governor facing- off this Wednesday evening live from the Grand Hall of Bryant University's Bello Center for Technology. The debate will be broadcast locally at 7pm on WLNE/ABC6, on the station's cable news station NewsChannel 5 (Cox Cable Ch.5) as well as live to the nation on C-Span. The debate will also be streamed live on abc6.com and simulcast on WRNI, Rhode Island Public Radio.

Moderated by WLNE/ABC6 News Anchor John DeLuca, the hour long debate will include panelists Mark Curtis: WLNE/ABC6 Political Reporter, Ross Cheit: Brown University Professor of Political Science, Ed Fitzpatrick: Providence Journal Political Analyst and Scott Mackay: WRNI Political Analyst.
The seven candidates for Rhode Island Governor include:

- Kenneth J. Block – Moderate
- Frank T. Caprio – Democrat
- Lincoln D. Chafee – Independent
- Todd Giroux – Independent
- Joseph M. Lusi – Independent
- John F. Robitaille – Republican
The station will air a half hour post debate analysis with WLNE/ABC6 Anchor John DeLuca, WLNE/ABC6 Chief Political Analyst Buddy Cianci, WLNE/ABC6 Political Reporter Mark Curtis and WLNE/ABC6 Anchor Allison Alexander.
