PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — ABC6 News would like to wish a good luck to our Master Control Operator, Mike Tucker, who retires today.

You have never seen Mike, but rest assured Southern New England, he has played a big part in your television viewing every day.

In fact, for 19 years, Mike’s made sure your favorite shows are on the air. He’s also been a good friend and cherished part of the “Good Morning Providence” and ABC6 News at Noon news team.

Mike is also an accomplished author, and we can only expect to see more books with all the free time he is going to have.

Mike, congratulations on an amazing 19 years here at ABC6, and while we are sad to see you go and will certainly miss seeing you every morning, in the words of one of your favorite shows: We hope you take a little time and enjoy the view!
