Damaging winds and waves of heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms expected for Monday
PROVIDENCE, (WLNE) – Under a StormTracker Alert for today for gusty, damaging winds and waves of heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms.
The winds pick up as the day progresses, peaking through the afternoon and early evening.
A HIGH WIND WARNING in place for the entire area beginning at 1PM and lasting until 7PM for most, continuing until 10PM for far eastern MA.
Expect gusts 55-65MPH for most. That would lead to the risk of power outages and damage.
Be sure to make sure all of your devices are charged this morning.
Rain comes in waves and could lead to some poor drainage flooding through the day.
Eventually overnight we start to clear out and the breeze begins to back off.
Tuesday looks nice. Expect partly sunny conditions and highs in the mid to upper 50s.
More clouds into Wednesday with a few isolated showers at times, highs will be cooler in the upper 40s.
Thursday we will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs back into the low 50s.
We close out the work week with mainly sunny conditions and highs in the low 50s.
