Accidental pepper spray incident inside Warwick building

WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — The Warwick Police Department said police are investigating after one person accidently discharged their pepper spray inside a building in Warwick on Tuesday.

Police responded to Coastal Medical on Commerce Drive to find multiple people exposed to chemicals from the pepper spray.

Warwick police said nobody was seriously injured, and no criminal charges are expected.

Crews were called to decontaminate the building.

Police continue to investigate.
