Acting Cranston Fire Chief retiring

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE): Acting Fire Chief Paul Valletta is retiring from the Cranston Fire Department, according to Mayor Allan Fung. 

Valletta will retire on Friday, July 26 to “focus on his union leadership position with the IAFF at the State House,” according to the mayor. 

His nomination as a permanent Fire Chief will be withdrawn as a result.
