Active Weather Pattern Through the Weekend
Friday starts off with a warm front moving through Southern New England. After early morning showers and thunderstorms, we will develop patches of fog and drizzle. Clouds will break up and increasing sunshine fills out the afternoon. Other than the early morning, Friday will be dry and warm with highs near 75 inland and 55 along the coast. Saturday is a StormTracker Alert Day as we have the potential to generate pop up thunderstorms that may bring elements of severe weather such as damaging winds, hail, torrential downpours and frequent lightning. Otherwise, Saturday looks to start with patches of fog then clearing to mainly sunny with very warm highs in the upper-70s inland and near 60 along the coast. Sunday will follow in the same pattern with a mix of sun and clouds and the chance of showers and highs in the 70s. A change in the wind direction will bring temperatures from well above average to below average for Monday. The unsettled pattern hold through next week with mostly cloudy skies sand the chance of showers through Thursday.
