AIDS Project Rhode Island hosts 10th Run/Walk for Life

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — AIDS Project Rhode Island hosted its 10th annual Run/Walk for Life at Pierce Field in East Providence Saturday.

The organization said that hundreds of participants gathered to highlight the organizations 40 years of public health education on HIV and AIDS.

In addition, Beth and Russ Milham were presented with the 2025 Hope Harris Award for their advocacy, as well as a ertificate of Congressional Recognition from Congressman Gabe Amo.

APRI said that proceeds from the event go towards programming including free HIV and STI testing, case management, mental health services, and “prevention efforts targeting vulnerable populations across the state.”
