Air Quality Alert today
Smoke from Canada wildfires moves in today
PROVIDENCE, R.I.(WLNE) —
We have an air quality alert until 12am tonight due to the growing wildfires in Canada. Canada is on track to have the worst wildfire season, and that means we will probably see more of these air quality alerts heading into the summer months.
We sill have this storm system sitting over Halifax, Canada, and it’s just stuck here. That’s causing it to spin off a few waves of energy which means we will see some more scattered showers this afternoon and early evening, but then fizzling out tonight. Expect this patter for the rest of our week.
TODAY: 72. Partly cloudy, scattered light showers. NW 5-15mph.
WEDNESDAY: High 69.Scattered showers.
THURSDAY: High 67. Scattered showers.
FRIDAY: High 68.
SATURDAY: High 75.
SUNDAY: High 80.
MONDAY: High 72.
TUESDAY: High 70.
