The head of T.F. Green airport is stepping down and moving to a new position in Canada.

The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) today announced that its President and CEO Kelly J. Fredericks, P.E., A.A.E., has been selected as the new CEO for the Ontario International Airport Authority. His resignation is effective March 1.

Peter Frazier has been selected to serve as RIAC’s President and CEO in the interim. He has served in the interim position twice before.

“We have every confidence in Peter, who in his role as General Counsel and Senior Vice President has been involved in all aspects of the operation of the airport,” said Jonathan Savage, chair of the RIAC board.

Frazier and Savage will be working together to find Fredericks’ replacement. Savage said that it will be a “national search to continue the progress we have accomplished these past few years.”

“We have been making great strides at the airport over the past few years, including expanding the airport’s operations,” Savage added. “We have added international flights and were recently named third best airport in the country by Conde Nast. We fully expect this progress to continue.”
