All lanes clear after serious multi-car crash on 195 West

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police responded to a serious crash on 195 West near the Rhode Island-Massachusetts state line Tuesday morning.

According to RISP, all lanes on 195 West near the crash were closed after the incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m.

All lanes are now clear.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation also announced that 195 West was closed at Exit 1 in Seekonk due to the crash, and that all traffic was diverted onto Route 114A at Exit 1.

Tow trucks could be seen transporting several badly damaged vehicles as officials worked to clear up the crash and reopen the highway.

There is no word yet on any injuries in the incident.
