Allegations of sexual harassment, drugs and retaliation mark Fall River schools lawsuit

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River Public Schools safety officer is suing the school department, superintendent and several other current and former employees.

The lawsuit accuses the director of operations and security of sexual harassment, saying the director of security was having an affair with another co-worker and tried to involve the alleged victim in the affair.

The lawsuit also claims the director of security kept drugs in his office.

The victim claims she made complaints to the former and current superintendent and she was met with retaliation.

The lawsuit alleges the director of security was let go but for unspecified reasons.

The defendants have not responded to the lawsuit.

We’ve also reached out to the district’s superintendent for a response to the allegations.

The lawsuit filed in Bristol County Superior Court seeks $10 million for “intentional infliction of emotional distress.”
